Sven’s First Call-Ups

Coach SvenToday at the press conference at the Salón de Usos Múltiples del Centro de Alto Rendimiento de la Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Sven-Göran Eriksson gave his first call-up. All the players are locally based and are expected to be in concentration from the 4th-6th of August leading up to the game against Honduras on August 20th. This is a “first draft” with the final call-ups for the game being issued August 14th and it will include players abroad as well.

One noticeable absence is Luis Michel’s from Chivas as he fractured his arm playing in the Superliga and he will be out for the remaining of the Apertura. Sven had previously said that he was strongly was going to be considered for the call up.
