Mexico Drop in FIFA rankings
The FIFA rankings are usually not to be taken seriously. Honestly, at one time before the 06 WC we were #4 and well…that didn’t go to well. But now we have dropped another spot. We are now #25 in the world, exactly 1 behind the US.
Here are the Top 20
1. (1) Spain
2. (3) Germany
3. (2) Italy
4. (5) Netherlands
5. (4) Brazil
6. (7) Argentina
7. (6) Croatia
8. (9) Russia
9. (8) Czech Republic
10= (10) Portugal
10= (14) England
12. (11) France
13. (13) Turkey
14. (12) Cameroon
15. (16) Israel
16. (15) Bulgaria
17. (22) Paraguay
18. (17) Greece
19. (18) Romania
20. (19) Ukraine
However, I personally tend to go with the Elo Rankings, in which we sit at the 11th spot.
I’m sure the newly released rankings were a mood booster for the boys tonight.

I will fly to Switzerland to talk to the FIFA people about this (some fist fighting probably involved). And I’ll bring everyone chocolate.
