Marquez and Ramirez Get Grounded by FIFA
In the game against the US Rafa Marquez was sent off for the horrible tackle on Timmy Howard. At the time he was given the punishment of missing the game against Costa Rica on March 28th. Now he’s been given additional time, and he’ll miss the game against Honduras on April 1st as well(and no, he won’t come out and yell APRIL FOOLS!).
Assistant Coach Francisco Ramirez has also been handed a two match ban after his little love tap on U.S. defender Frankie Hejduk.
Ramirez thought that Hedjuk’s shouting was directed at him, and not in celebration with the fans.

Great. Just what he wanted, now he doesn’t even have to travel across the Atlantic.

Rafa’s suspension was inevitable. Tough break for El Tri.

Rafa is still going to travel to North America, he said so himself. It’s a bad idea really, but it’s a good way to prove how sorry he really is.

It just seems like he doesn’t care anymore. Like I mean I personally don’t know the guy but I get the impression that he thinks he’s better than anyone on the team and that’s why he acts like an idiot because he knows he spot is secured.
He’s not the same player as before. Ever since the end of WC 2006, his attitude and approach to El Tri has been a joke. If I was the coach, his ass wouldn’t be wearing the captain badge. Just my opinion, but I think Salcido is a hell of a lot better than Marquez. He plays with heat, pride and respect. Definitly underated on El tri and on a global scale. Hopefully Sven can get the team under control before Costa Rica. I actually like Sven but I think he needs to wear the pants on the team, not the other way around. If he doesn’t work out, The toluca coach is next in line an d I think he could definitly contribute pending FMF is completly flushed out of the lameass’s running it .

Al- It seems like Barca isn’t letting him go for those dates, so he’s staying to train with the other members of the squad who weren’t called up for their countries.
