After Vucetich said ‘no’ to taking charge of the national team, Jose Manuel de la Torre became the front runner .

At 44-years-old he is currently manager of Toluca and brother of Nestor de la Torre.

As a manager he’s won three Mexican league titles. He Chivas’ 11th title in the Apertura 2006 and with Toluca in the Apertura 2008 and Bicentenario 2010.

He will take charge at the end of the Apertura 2010

Good luck ‘Chepo’…may you last all four years.
