Salcido staying in Europe

June 28th, 2006 | By: John | 23 Comments »

The CD Guadalajara front office will announce next week that Carlos Salcido will be transferred to Europe. Teams from Spain and England are thought to be the front runners.

This is great news for Salcido and Mexico. I personally hope he goes to play in Spain. La liga has more varied offensive styles than the Premier League, which, obviously has a long list of merits as well. Hopefully this is the first in series of announcements of Mexicanos signing on to play in Europe.

State your sources.

I’m quite tired of this type of news without any substance. Needless to say, I hope it’s true.

That’s great news . I believe that Mexican players are too good to play there . !!
Both Marquez and Borghetti are international level players as Franco , Salcido and Pardo are . It’s a shame to stay there and some brazilian or argentinian guys to be international stars .
mexico should have been to the 8 .

If this goes ahead, it looks like Arsenal will sell Ashley Cole, most probably to Chelsea or Real Madrid.

I am sorry to disappoint you all.

He’s not going to England.
Not to Spain.

But to Holland!
PSV Eindhoven… Champions League! The same club where Romario, Ronaldo, Gullit, Robben, etc. made history.

Good choice, Salcido!
