Mexicans In Europe 9/12-13/09
Coming back from the international break, many players were left off the team sheets and deemed too tired to participate in competitions…or they’re just Gio Dos Santos and Nery Castillo.
Spain
- Marquez was deemed fit by the medical staff, but Pep decided not to risk his player and left him off the team sheet for the game against Getafe.
Jonathan Dos Santos(Barcelona)- Dos Santos played all 90 mins in Barca Athletic’s 1-3 loss against Benidorm FC.
Andres Guardado(Deportivo La Coruna)- Depor had a tough game against Malaga where Guardado provided the assist for the lone goal for the win.
Hugo Sanchez(Almeria)- Hugo’s Almeria lost 1-0 against Sporting Gijon.
England
Carlos Vela(Arsenal)-Carlos Vela is recovering from an ankle injury and wasn’t on hand to witness the 4-2 Arsenal loss against Manchester City.
Giovani Dos Santos(Tottenham)- Dos Santos was not considered for the game against Manchester United in which Spurs lost 3-1.
Guillermo Franco(West Ham)- Franco has yet to be presented, so he was not available for the game against Wigan where the Hammers lost 1-0.
Germany
Ricardo Osorio(Vfb Suttgart)- Osorio was not called on for Stuttgart’s 1-3 loss against Hamburg.
Italy
Miguel Layun(Atalanta)- Layun was left on the bench for the 1-0 loss against Sampdoria.
Netherlands
Carlos Salcido(PSV)- Salcido wasn’t called on for the game against Roda JC where PSV won 3-0.
Maza Rodriguez(PSV)-Maza did not see play with PSV over the weekend.
Hector Moreno(AZ Alkaamar)- Moreno was left off the team sheet for AZ’s 2-1 loss against ADO Den Haag.
Greece
Antonio De Nigris(AE Larisa)-De Nigris played 60 minutes in the draw against Atromitos.
Ukraine
Nery Castillo(Dnipro)-Castillo was forgotten during Dnipro’s win over Feniks Illichoveys which helped them advance to the quarter finals of Ukraine’s League Cup.
