Mexicans In Europe 10/25-27/08
Spain
Rafael Marquez(Barcelona)-Marquez played all 90 mins in the whooping of Almeria(5-0). A solid performance and Barca now sits second on the table.
Guillermo Franco(Villarreal)-Sounds like over the weekend the game against Atletico was a crazy goal fest. The game ended 4-4 for the yellow submarine. Franco did not feature in the game.
Andres Guardado(Deportivo La Coruna)- Guardado played all 90 mins in the loss against Gijon. He was on the attack but failed to get on the scoresheet.
Omar Bravo(Deportivo La Coruna)- Did not play in the game.
Javier Aguirre(Atletico)- 4-4 draw against Villarreal for el Vasco’s team. Drawing Liverpool midweek and Villarreal on the weekend…I’d say not too shabby.
England
Carlos Vela(Arsenal)- Carlos wasn’t even on the list of subs for Arsenal’s win over their London neighbors West Ham.
Giovanni Dos Santos(Tottenham)- Spurs had a crazy two days. First, Ramos is sacked and then by some miracle, they win! Gio did not play.
Nery Castillo(Man City)-Nery, Nery. What shall we do with you? You don’t want to go to Chivas? Ok, well then have fun not playing for Man City. Seems like they’re doing fine with their new boy Robinho. They won over the weekend 3-0 against Stoke.
Germany
Pavel Pardo(Stuttgart)-Pardo stayed on the bench for Stuttgart’s 2-0 win over VfL Bochum because of exhaustion due to his recent comeback from injury.
Ricardo Osorio(Stuttgart)- Osorio played 56 mins before coming off in the win over Bochum.
Aaron Galindo(Eintracht Frankfurt)- Galindo played all 90 mins in Frankfurt’s 3-2 win over Energie Cottbus and received a yellow card in the 77th min.
Netherlands
Carlos Salcido(PSV)- Carlos Salcido played all 90mins in PSV’s 2-3 loss to Roda JC.
Maza Rodriguez(PSV)- El Maza was a starter in this week’s game and played all 90 mins. Unfortunately,
PSV lost.
Hector Moreno(AZ Alkaamar)- Moreno had better luck as his team won 3-0 against Volendam. He played all 90 mins.
Turkey
Antonio De Nigris(Anaranksapor)- Antonio de Nigris finally saw some action this weekend as his team beat Kocaelispor 4-0 with him scoring the opening goal.
