Ochoa on the Cover of FIFA 09
It looks like someone over at EA has been reading our posts because for the second year Paco Memo Ochoa will be on the cover of Electronic Arts’ FIFA game.
However, this year things are a bit less crowded this year as he will only be sharing it with Ronaldinho who has been on the cover for as long as I care to remember.
Ochoa is the first Mexican player to appear on back to back covers, and it looks like his popularity with everyone, especially the young ladies, is skyrocketing.
Mario Valle, director of sales and marketing for Electronic Arts in México explained why Memo was selected for the cover for a consecutive year, “Memo is the best athlete in Mexico by a lot, not only for his on the field play but for the inspiration and example he gives to Mexicans of all ages.”
Ochoa commented that he is a video game player since he was a kid, and a number one fan of EA Sports’ FIFA, thus he is very honored to maintain himself at the head of the best football game in the world. Now if he could only see himself at the back of one of the best clubs in the world, no offense to Americanistas.
