Mexico is facing different problems for the time being. The Tri needs scores like Borgeti and Hernandez, to mention two former great scorers. However, the main problem is that Mexico’s greatest enemy is the local sporting press. They are not good sporting journalists that analyse a game but a bunch of vulgar and hysterical scribblers who write extra sporting events and lack ethical principles.

The case of coach Javier Aguirre is another sad story being manipulated by the Mexican press. He made a mistake in the game against Panama: raised his foot to stop a loose ball over the line, but instead of the ball he touched a Panaman player. Aguirre apologized and Concacaf blamed him with three games.

No doubt that Aguirre deserved the punishment and he is the first to accept that.

The incredible of the story is that a unanimous Mexican sporting press agree that Aguirre tried to attack the player.

Mexico needs to overcome a great sporting problem by giving better education to its sporting journalists, especially in the area of ethics.

Bush league stuff. I haven’t seen the game, only these highlights, but the coach should be banned for 6 months or so. His foot was nowhere near the ball, he was fustrated and kicked at the player. That has to punnished.

The people that need to be ashamed are the panamanians who for a little over 25 minutes did nothing but run the clock with fake injurys and were not willing to get off the field to resume play, that game was hurtful to see and was a disgrace to futbol

How come they always pull stuff like this? It almost makes me ashamed to admit that I’m not only Irish and French American but Mexican American too. No national team I’ve seen is as poor at conducting themselves then the Mexican National Team.
