Call-Ups for Ecuador Friendly

That’s right, another “let’s make some quick cash” U.S. friendly will be played on November 12, at Chase Field (baseball stadium?) in Phoenix, AZ. Get your tickets now, folks.

No Chivas players (participating in the Copa Sudamericana) or Europe-based players will take part in the match. However, expect some of them to take part in the final group qualifier at Honduras on the 19th.

Here’s the 100% Sven-approved 22-man list of players for the match:

Goalkeepers
Guillermo Ochoa(América)
Moisés Muñoz (Morelia)

Defenders
Óscar Rojas (América)
Edgar Dueñas (Toluca)
Leobardo López (Pachuca)
Julio César Domínguez (Cruz Azul)
Fernando López (Necaxa)
Fausto Pinto (Pachuca)
Edgar Castillo (Santos)
Jorge Torres (Atlas)

Midfielders
Fernando Arce (Santos)
Jaime Correa (Pachuca)
Gerardo Torrado (Cruz Azul)
Israel Castro (Pumas)
Francisco Torres (Santos)
Israel Martínez (San Luis)
Antonio Naelson ‘Sinha’ (Toluca)

Forwards
Nery Castillo (Manchester City)
Vicente Matías Vuoso (Santos)
César Villaluz (Cruz Azul)
Carlos Ochoa (Monterrey)
Francisco Fonseca (Tigres)

No surprise to see the miserable Nery Castillo on the list, as he’s currently training with Chivas and will probably be a starter in the match. Israel “Jagger” Martínez gets his first call-up for the NT. Ecuador’s call ups will also probably be local players, so expect a neat little match. There’s plenty of talent in our selection, so win or bust.

November 12. See you guys there.

The Brow will be waiting:

lol at the brow. Is Oswaldo injured? I hope not and Sven finally realized Ochoa is THE keeper Mexico needs.

I’m glad Sven didn’t call up any Chivas players! We’re in a tight spot as it is. And yes, Chase field is a baseball stadium known as BOB to the locals(the name changed when Bank One changed to Chase Bank). It’s the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Can’t wait.

And “the Brow”…haha
