Upcoming friendlies for Mexico

After Mexico’s triumph over world cup bound Ghana, Mexico has a rather ambitious series of friendlies on the books.

Now that the Official FIFA date has come and gone, National teams will have a harder time getting their foreign players released for upcoming friendlies. Luckily for Mexico, since most of their players play domestically, it will make it much easier to have the probable world cup players take the field against other national teams. Besides, the three players that play abroad are considered locks to not only make the roster, but be among the starting 11.

Nevertheless, the lack of future FIFA dates prevents Mexico from sizing itself up against other world cup opponents other than Paraguay until May, where they will play 3 world cup teams. Mexico has always played an ambitious schedule when it comes to friendlies, so it is no surprise that there are still 6 more friendlies on tap with rumors of 2 more.
