Squad list for Nigeria and Guatemala friendlies

Rafa Marquez, Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio are the notable absences from Hugo Sanchez´s squad list for the Nigeria and Guatemala friendlies on the 14 and 17 of October. Marquez will be out for a month after injuring a muscle in his right leg, by the way what´s up with barcelona players getting injured? I don´t know why Sanchez keeps refusing to call up Osorio or Pardo. Even though the friendlies are on a FIFA date and both players are performing well for Stuttgart, Sanchez still ignores them. My only theory is that there is a bad relationship between both parties which could possibly date back to last summer when players started deserting the squad. Osorio is just what Mexico´s dull offense needs, he reminds me of Inter´s Javier Zanetti how he initiates offensive runs and his crosses inside the box are lasers. The more I see him play the more I like him.

The usual gang of Giovani Dos Santos, Carlos Vela, Nery Castillo, Carlos Salcido and Andres Guardado will be joined by five new call-ups which are listed in bold on the squad list. Sanchez noted in his squad announcement that there is a likely chance that Nery Castillo won´t be able to play in the upcoming friendlies because he is expecting a child and doesn´t want to miss the birth.

I do understand that Rafael Marquez wont be called in because he torn one of his muscle on his right leg. But I think Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio are feeling it because lately they are not playing very well at this time, escpecially that Stuttgart hasn’t been able to win many games. But I think morally speaking it’s getting into Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio’s head. I bet that they regret it so bad. I just hope that Hugo can give them another chance, perhaps there was a misunderstanding and it was not clear before. Hugo needs to learn how to forive at least do that.

Was talking to my roommate today and he made perfect sense. Maybe Sanchez already has his three older aged players picked for the 2008 Olympics (assuming Mexico makes it through the pre-olympic qualifying) we thought some players might be Rafa Marquez and Nery Castillo? It sucks that you can only have three players over the age of 23 or something in a roster for the olympics! If that´s so then why call up Osorio or Pardo when they´re not in Sanchez´s plans to go to the Olympics?
