Xavi, if you dislike Mexico so much why do feel the need to slum it in our dirty little blog. As for your comment about the US having 15 players in Europe…so what. Have any of them done anything really note worthy? We may not have a lot in Europe but we do have a legitimate star in Rafa. He’s a true champion that will be playing alongside the likes of Deco and Ronaldinho for the next few years. You’d think that with 15 players (wow!!!) the US would have had a better showing.

The truth is that the only reason there isn’t more Mexicans in Europe is because of money, not talent. Do you really think that MLS has better players than the Mexican league. The Mexican league pays very well. Why do you think there are so many Argentineans and Brazilians in Mexico. There is no financial reason to leave Mexico.

But, if it allows you to sleep better keep bashing our players.

Yeah, Europe is for real players; that’s why Landon Donovan couldn’t even make it onto Bayern Leverkusen’s bench and had to return to MLS where he’d be coddled and treated like a superstar.

Until an American player wins a prestigious European league title, or the Champions League, then Americans have no real right to talk about Mexican players not making it in Europe.
