Probables for France
As we have said many times in the past, we can only speculate as to who will line up in at the start in Lavolpe friendlies, so let’s go ahead and speculate again. We do know that Franco probably will not play, but then again…. Lavolpe says he will see Franco play vs. Holland and rest him for France.
GK – Oswaldo Sanchez
DEF – Gringo Castro, Ricardo Osorio, Rafa Marquez, Carlos Salcido, Gonzalo Pineda
MID – Jesus Arellano, Pavel Pardo, Ramon Morales
FW – Jared Borgetti Omar Bravo
It has been said that the midfield positions, other than Pardo’s are still very much up for grabs. So Luis Perez and Sinha are obviously in the mix. Andres Guardado may also start on the left flank for Pineda or Morales, and I really wouldn’t be surprised if he starts vs. Iran.

This is the probable lineup I read from a Mexican newspaper:
Goalie:Oswaldo Sánchez
Defenses:Ricardo Osorio,Carlos Salcido,Rafael Márquez,José Antonio Castro,Gonzalo Pineda
Midfield:Pável Pardo,Sinha, Ramón Morales
Strikers:Guillermo Franco and Borgetti
Doesn’t look bad does it? I would like Guardado or Arellano to start but that’s my opinion. This lineup look pretty good and what better tune up than France?

If that is the lineup then Mexico is going to get killed 3-0 or 2-0.
They need to score goals to get confidence win or lose and midfield is the weakest around.

Big Baller,
You seriously depress me. Midfield is too small, we have no speedy players, Lavolpe is a jerk, etc. etc. etc.
This is for the most part the same group that played Germany and Greece (two European teams), a fully loaded Brazil and Argentina and a very speedy Japanese team… how many games did we lose after 90 minutes? NONE.
I will be doom and gloom only if we lose to Iran on the first match.
Size is not everything, just ask people like Maradona, Hagi, Stoichkov etc. etc.
