Ochoa still with America & Argentina friendly in March?

December 5th, 2007 | By: Kevin Zelaya | 6 Comments »

Sorry for jumping the gun on the Ochoa to Manchester United bandwagon. Yes, Guillermo Ochoa is still with America eagles because they pulled out of the talks with United last minute. I heard Ochoa wasn’t thrilled about America not letting him go to Manchester. From America’s point of view, its understandable since Ochoa is the last real star on the team since Cuathemoc Blanco’s departure. As far as Ochoa going to Europe, America may still have him but it seems only a matter of time before Ochoa will cross the pond to greener pastures in Europe.

Unconfirmed reports have surfaced indicating that Argentina will be Mexico’s opponent in a March friendly to be held in Spain in preparation for prequalifying for the Olympics. I read about it in Monterrey’s El Norte newspaper, God I hope AFA and FMF officials can make this match happen!

This is probably the biggest problem with the Mexican league, that they don’t export players! I mean, this is too much now! Our best goalkeeper in our history is being denied the green light to go to Europe because our league is the most backward league in the world and refuses to export players! We’ll never be as good as Argentina or Brazil because our league will never be like their leagues, which actually export players to Europe! God, this is so embarrasing and hopeless!

i beleive Ochoa may still not be ready to go to Europe, he needs to pull his head out of his ass and get his team to the playoffs next season, to prove himself

I am from England and we export a lot of our players. People like George Best who were great players in their day, and people like David Beckham as well. I am sure it is a very good thing for players to go abroad and get experience
