News from the Madre Patria
Rafael Marquez did not complete Barcelona’s training session because of some discomfort in his legs. He was taken out more for precautionary measures, and will probably sit out this weekend’s clash with newly crowned UEFA Cup champs, Sevilla. Rafa has had issues all year with muscle strains. Let’s hope the Champions League game is the last one he plays before he joins up with the Tri in Europe.
In other news, el Vasco has confirmed that he will not be with Osasuna next year. Aguirre has performed a minor miracle with the Pamplona club as they are on the brink of a Champions League birth. Sadly, he will not be there if Osasuna plays in it next year. Rumors have him going to Atletico de Madrid, but nothing has been confirmed or denied. Aguirre elevated Pamplona from relegation threats to 4th place in 4 years. We wish him the best wherever he ends up.
