Something that should be mentioned here and nobody so far has done it is that Iran apparently lost “the brain” of the midfield in Switzerland in a European match and will be out for the World Cup.
For some reason a lot of important Iranian players are dropping like flies.
Must be those darn effective Witch Doctors we have (I may consult one so I can get a good raise next time I negotiate my salary with my boss, hehe).

No. Jabbari is not an important player, he was in the waiting list in case of any of the 23 squad players get injured.
Currently Ali Karimi (FC Bayern Munich) super star is fine, he is playing again. Hashemian (Hannover 96, Germany) is recovering fast and Zandi (FC Kaiserslautern, Germany) could be ready when WC starts.
