Mexico loses to Guatemala
Just like in a school yard fight where the younger kids try to out-smart the older, stronger kids in the end the older kids win. This is what happened during Mexico´s 2-3 loss to Guatemala on Wednesday. It was the first time Guatemala beat Mexico since 1969. Mexico´s speed and heart came undone by Guatemala´s patience and an opportunistic Avila who scored the winning gol.
Having the experience of Ochoa, Magallon and Salcido wasn´t enough as the middle field lacked creativity and besides controlling the game up until Mexico leveled the score at 1 to 1, sat back and let Guatemala get enough room to come back after they were down 1 to 2. Guardado and Giovani´s runs along the sides were like one-man suicide missions. A Salcido cross set-up one of the gols and the capitan showed his experience by not losing his cool in an ugly game. Referee Ricado Salazar let the game get out of hand in the first half by not enforcing the rule of order early with the cards.
Guatemala deserves some credit, they took the lead early in a hostile environment, lost three players to Mexico´s two and took advantage of their scoring opportunities. I hope Sanchez has a Plan B. The kids clearly are a long way from being ready for the Olympics.
The Good
Vela got the monkey off his back and scored his first gol in a Mexico shirt. Showed the killer instinct Mexico often lacks.
Villaluz proves his value as a starter and scores the second gol.
Salcido proves the better capitan as Guatemala´s Carlos Ruiz gets ejected.
The Bad
Magallon and Hector Moreno leave Gomez unmarked to score Guatemala´s first gol.
Villaluz and Pineda lose their cool and are ejected.
The Ugly
The whole game in general.

LOL
Jesus Christ for God’s sake, please let all Guatemalans enjoy such a victorious game over el Tri. However, Guatemala played the same team that Colombia played a month or two months ago and Colombia won by the same score 2 - 0. Although I am not making any excuses, Guatemala did not played the real National Team, come on guys they are all inexperience players. But nevertheless, we knew that the game against Guatemala was more as a practice game for the olympic game, and we are preparing all of the young players for the next world cup, but this was just a friendly game. I bet that if this was a FIFA game, then you would see all of the European players on that list. So you are telling me that Guatemala is a better team then Brazil, Nigeria, Paraguay, Uruguay, etc., just because they beat Mexico, when Mexico has beaten all of those teams that I mentioned aboved. How long did it took Guatemala to beat Mexico? And how serious was Mexico over Guatemala? Well cheers for Guatemala but please don’t klet it come into your head too much because I don’t see them in the next World Cup. Why do most Central Americans hate Mexico so much, because they don’t have the same infrastructure that Mexico has in soccer? And why do you even have to mentioned Giovanni Dos Santos not being Mexican? So what is he Guatamalan? Shit Guatemala wish to have a players like Giovanni. In fact he was born in Monterrey and raised in Monterrey. Everyone knows he was born in Mexico, its just that most Central Americans don’t want to recognize it. Now the triumph that Guatemala had over Mexico, how good did Guatemala played? Yeah, very dirty with the intentions to hurt our players, I just hoped that FMF learned their lesson not to play any more friendlies with Central America, maybe its time to part to Europe or Africa for friendly games. To answer your last questions, Mexico have enough players from Pachuca, Toluca, Monterrery, Atlante, Santos, America, Chivas, Tigres, Pumas, Cruz Azul, Jaguares, to get enough players to the point of forming two to three national teams. Maybe is just envy that Guatemala don’t have that type of soccer leagues that we have. And who are the Guatemalan players that play abroad? El Pescadito Ruiz for Dallas? Please can you get anything better then that? Is this is all that Guatemala have on the last game, I would like Mexico to bring all of their best players to play your sorry as team and lets see what you got!!!

Mexicannots you are nothing but heads full of gas. You think you are champions of the world. Guatemalans did not cellebrate the victory. We were just happy to MAYBE show the mexicannots a lesson of how to be humble! So be it, mexiANOS, mexINDIOS!
