Mexicans in Europe 9/27-28/08
This week we saw some disappointment in England where the rainy weather shadowed the play and fortune of the youngsters. And well it seems to have been shawodowing Nery Castillo for quite a while now.
Spain
Rafa Marquez(Barcelona)-Marquez did not participate in Barca’s 2-1 win over Espanyol. The game went underway and stopped because of rowdy fans.
Guillermo Franco(Villarreal
)-Franco did not play in Villarreal’s 1-0 win over Sporting Gijon.
Andres Guardado(Deportivo La Coruna)- Guardado played 73 mins in Depor’s 4-2 loss to a rejuvenated from last season Valencia. He was taken off for Riki.
Omar Bravo(Deportivo La Coruna)-Bravo was back after serving his suspension for his red card the previous week. He came on during the 61st min for Mista.
Javier Aguirre(Atletico de Madrid) Aguirre managed the team to a 1-0 loss to Sevilla with Kun Aguero not showing the magic he has in the previous week. Better luck in the Champions League where they’re playing Marseille.
England
Carlos Vela(http://arsenal.theoffside.com/team-news/well-that-wasnt-pleasant.html)-Midweek Vela did extremely well and scored an amazing goal in the Carling Cup. Unfortunately the first team did not have as much success against Hull City where they lost 2-1 and Vela came in during the 77th min for Theo Walcott. He added new pace to the field and fought for the ball and almost scored when a rebound header from William Gallas came off the post.
Giovanni Dos Santos(http://spurs.theoffside.com/game-review/portsmouth-2-spurs-0-wake-me-up-when-we-remember-how-to-play.html)-The Spurs lost to Wigan 2-0 in what is turning out to be a horrible start to the season for them. After having a good preseason Giovanni has now been relegated to the bench and this week he came on during the 58th min for Zokora. Spurs sit dead last with only 2 points.
Nery Castillo(Man City) Despite having extreme oillinaires Man City has seemed to come down from its high and just lost 1-2 to Wigan. Nery did not feature in this game, not even on the bench.
Germany
Pavel Pardo(Stuttgart)-Pavel Pardo was still unavailable for play because of a knee injury.
Carlos Osorio(Stuttgart) Ricardo Osorio did not feature in this game in which Stuttgart lost to Borussia Dortmund 3-0.
Aaron Galindo(Eintracht Frankfurt) Galindo did not play in his team’s 1-1 draw against Arminia Belefield and stayed on the bench the whole game.
Netherlands
Carlos Salcido (PSV) Salcido played all 90 mins in PSV’s win over Volendam.
Maza Rodriguez(PSV)- Maza stayed on the bench the whole game.
Hector Moreno(AZ Alkaamar)-Moreno played all 90 mins in Alkaamar’s 5-2 win over Willem II.
Turkey
Antonio De Nigris(Ankarasapor)-Although he scored the winning goal midweek he failed to feature in the fixture for the Turkish league.
