Mexicans in Europe 4/19-20/08
We’ve got ourselves a champ. Guess who.
Spain
Rafa Marquez(Barcelona)-Marquez went in during the 66th min for Puyol in Barcelona’s draw of 0-0 against Espanyol. Now Barca have slipped up to 3rd place and face the tough test of Man United midweek in the Champions League semi finals.
Giovanni Dos Santos(Barcelona)-Gio started the game which gives some hope but was replaced by Messi for the 2nd half. It seems however that he will soon lose his spot when Messi has returned to full fitness especially after being outperformed by younger Bojan.
Guillermo Franco(Villarreal)-Capitalizing on Barca’s draw Villarreal won 2:0 against Vallalodid and moved up to 2nd place 10pts behind league leaders Real Madrid and 1 point ahead of Barcelona. Franco did not play.
Carlos Vela(Osasuna)-Vela played all 90 mins of the clash against Guardado’s Deportivo but unfortunately was unable to help in their 0-1 loss. He did help contribute to the team’s disciplinary record by picking up a yellow in the 42nd min. Vela did put Dady up for a goal but it did not happen. And Arsenal is very anxious to have Vela and he is just as anxious to play for them next season. It seems like Arsenal will not extend the loan to Osasuna despite Osasuna offering to buy him.
Andres Guardado(Deportivo La Coruna) Deportivo won 1-0 against Osasuna but Guardado did not play as he is still out from injury and will remain out for the remainder of the season.
Germany
Aaron Galindo(Eintracht Frankfurt) Midweek Eintracht lost to Bayern Munich 1-3 while Galindo played all 90 mins. There was one controversial moment involving Galindo as Bayern scored their first goal to level the score as Frankfurt protested that Galindo had been pushed on the way to having the goal scored.
Pavel Pardo(Stuttgart)-Stuttgart won 3-0 against 1. FC Nürnberg midweek and moved up to fifth in the Bundesliga table. Pardo played all 90 mins and had a good game and having a shot on goal during the win.
Ricardo Osorio(Stuttgart)- Osorio did not play due to injury although he had been previously been confirmed as ready to play.
Holland
Carlos Salcido(PSV)-Salcido’s PSV won 1-0 against Vitesse with Salcido playing all 90 mins. Oh yeah, and they’re CHAMPIONS of the Eredivisie. Congratulations to our Champion who had an excellent season with PSV and once more got crowned as the champ.
Hector Moreno(AZ Alkmaar)-Unfortunately Moreno could not be champion too but his team did win 1-0 against Sparta. Moreno had a safe game as he played all 90 mins and AZ Alkmaar are now in a position of playing for an Intertoto Cup playoff spot.
England
Nery Castillo(Man City)- Man City won 3-1 against Portsmouth but Nery did not play as he remained on the bench as an unused sub during the whole game. He did play midweek with the reserves against Sunderland scoring the winning goal but his contribution to the main team is bleak.
Turkey
Antonio De Nigris(Ankaraspor)- Ankaraspor lost 1-2 to Sivasspor and De Nigris did not score any goals.
Managers
Javier Aguirre(Atletico Madrid)- Aguirre’s Atletico lost 1-3 against Real Betis but are still 4th 1 pt above Racing Santander.
See if you can spot him. He’s really happy.

Sorry my German is not that great…
