Huiqui getting better

One of the defenders in the national team: Joel Huiqui had ijured his left foot and was for a moment a concern in the squad of 26. He is competing with a spot probably against Claudio Suarez.
He continued to work for his second consecutive day on his own apart from the rest of the team. “I had a little of rehab, strenghtening the zone that hurts, and I am a lot better. I am calm, I was doing some jogging and woriking with the ball and I felt very good” he said.
The player from Curz Azul will probably be back with the rest of the team by monday. The player rejected that by training apart from the other 22 (Marquez, Franco and Borgetti are in Europe) he would get an advantage of being in the 23 squad final list.
The Acapulco Fase is over and the players seem in good shape. Arellano, Sinha, Lozano and Huiqui all seem to be up to the task.

I think this type of situation might be the breaking point on Lavolpe’s decision to saty with him or Claudio Suarez.
Unless Huiqui plays lights on against Venezuela and Congo, he might be the odd man out in the defense.

I guess you’re right, although the media in Mexico thaught that Huiqui being injured was for his best interests, because he trained alone and had a lot of atention on him and his recovery, I think he will be declared 100% on monday or tuesday, and yes the Venezuela game will be extremely important for Huiqui and the other 5 on the look.

Huiqui needs to go to Germany. He is very strong in the air and has very good mobility and seems to be tireless. This tournament and process could benefit him the most out of all of the defenders. He could be the type of player that flourishes in the world cup.

Yes, although we have great defenders, I mean Huiqui will never start over the Wall (Salcido, Osorio and Marquez), and we have a lot of players on the sides with el gringo and Morales being the best option. I hope Huiqui at least gets a chance.
