Gameday!!

Well, the wait for the next world cup is never easy, but the countdown has gone from years, to months, to wees, to days, to hours. But it is finally here!! We are going to have a little get together here in Austin, and cousin have come out of the woodwork to come over and watch the game.

Both Mexican and Iranian fans have been very vocal about their predicted outcome for the game. But I think the game is going to come down to a couple a keys:

1) Can Mexico handle Iran’s skilled individuals. Mexico historically has trouble with 2 things: set pieces and players with individual skill. Both are strengths of Team Melli.

2) Will Iran’s defense continue to be a leaky faucet. If The Persians haven’t solved their defensive issues, it could be a long day for Iran.

So after much thought, and careful consideration of all factors, I can state without prejudice that the final score will be …

Merxico 3 -1 Iran. The game will be tied at halftime, butr Mexico goes ahead in the 2nd half, then ices it in the late stages.

I think you are probably right. If Mexico doesnt screw up the defence, and if they manage to properly link midfield with both ends of the squad, then, i may say that Iran is as good as lost. Otherwise, we are in for a lousy match where the odds are for a tie or a defeat for mexico. as simple as that. lets see.

After all the struggles and CIA secrecy of Lavolpe and Mexico the offense finally wakes up today in the 2nd half.
