Desperate for a match

April 6th, 2006 | By: John | 3 Comments »

Femexfut is having a heck of a time finding a suitable opponent to play Mexico for their despedida Match on May 12.

At first Scotland were slated to play, but they never returned their calls. Belgium looked like a possible opponent, but they had to stay home and wash their hair. Egypt was promising, but it turned out to be nothing more than a tease. Chile surfaced next, but they just weren’t too serious about getting involved with anyone. Nigeria and Togo were next on the scene, but they gave Mexico the “it’s not you, it’s me” routine. There was even a rumor that Bolton Wanderers might be coming, but that was just a rumor. Lord knows we don’t want to spread any rumors on the blog.

Femexfut claims that they are facing difficulites because teams have friendlies already scheduled in Europe in the weeks prior to the world cup. The latest in a long line of potential matches now appear to be Senegal and Cameroon. It would be great if they can get either of these teams.

Otherwise, they may have to turn to an old friend: in this case, Colombia.

Puma-less?

Torrado, Kikin and Lozano were formed in Pumas.

The current Pumas team though is mostly worthless.

As for Canada? The add does ask for a GOOD team. Canada does not fit the job description.
