Carmona and Galindo are a Pair of Dopes
Defenders Salvador Carmona and Aaron Galindo will not be playing in the World Cup after Mexican Football Federation (FMF) rejected their appeals for failing a doping test. The two Cruz Azul players tested positive during the Confederations Cup in July and have been suspended for a full year. The players had hoped the suspension would be lifted before the World Cup but that isn’t going to happen. Not a huge loss for Mexico as neither player is irreplacable, but it still would have been nice to have them in the pool of potential players for coach Ricardo La Volpe. Just goes to show that you should “Just Say No.”
