A March friendly in Spain & ManU wants Memo Ochoa
Mexico is going to Europe next year! Sanchez´s squad is scheduled to play a friendly in March against an undisclosed team in preparation for Olympic prequalifying. Although the Spanish National Team has been ruled out, according to the LA CANCHA article I read yesterday, Mexico´s opponent will be a strong European team. I sure hope this doesn´t turn out to be the European friendly tour I heard about because if so, one game just isn´t enough!
According to OVACIONES, Manchester United has been going after Mexico and Club America gol keeper Memo Ochoa since the end of last year´s Copa America. So far the Red Devils have offered a 10 million Euro buyout for a three-year contract. Ochoa still has one more year on his contract, but its guidelines seem to be pretty open regarding a transfer as long as its in the interest of him and the club. Ochoa is already without a doubt the best gol keeper in Mexico and a regular with the national team. He´s not going to get any better playing in Mexico plus he´s always wanted to go to Europe. It seems like a perfect fit so I say now is the for him to cross the pond!

Is this for real that Manchester United have offered 10 Millions Euros, because on one of the sportsradio they are saying that it’s just rumors. But reading this post, a three year contract seems very short period of time playing for Europe, I would think maybe four or five year contract with Manchester United. Anyway, I also wish that Oswaldo Sanchez would have had this type of opportunities like Memo has because Oswaldo played different style but was for sure the best goalie during his era.

It probably seems like just rumors because ManU is not willing to comment on Ochoa but from what I read, they´re really going after him. As for the three year contract, it sounds like ManU wants Ochoa to be an insurance policy for their gol keeper Van Der Sar, who announced he´ll retire from international football with the Dutch after next year´s Euro.

Personally, I see Arsenal beating out Man U’s offers, especially with the situation they have with Jens Lehmann.

i believe that this is a great opportunity for ochoa he would be following in the footsteps of our great hero jorge campos. and also he wold be joining fellow players such as giovvani dos santos, guardado and others, its a big step for mexico to let go of such a star like ochoa but it will bring more popularity to he game and higher expectations of the national team in the olympics also and just hope that sanches knows how to manage a great team of super starz in the world cup
