Mexicans In Europe 11/1-2/08

November 3rd, 2008 | By: Andrea | No Comments »

Another week has gone by and the boys in Spain are doing well (most of them, anyways).

Spain

Rafael Marquez(Barcelona)- It seems like Marquez had a good game en route to the win over Malaga(4-1) and their crappy field. Barca now tops the La Liga table. Marquez played all 90 mins.

Guillermo Franco(Villarreal)-Franco is currently out with injury but the Yellow submarine won 4-1 against Athletic Bilbao.

Andres Guardado(Deportivo La Coruna)- Guardado had a good performance in his team’s 3-0 defeat against Real Betis and he had all 3 assists. He played all 90 mins and seems to be in good shape.

Omar Bravo(Deportivo La Coruna)-Did not play in this week’s game.

Javier Aguirre(Atletico De Madrid)- Atleti keeps on doing well thanks to Aguero and all of this is helping Aguirre who a few weeks ago was facing the danger of losing his job. They won 2-0 against Mallorca.

England

Carlos Vela(Arsenal)- Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal. These are dismal times. Carlitos came on in the 73rd min for Adebayor but could not help his team forgo a 2-1 defeat to newly promoted Stoke City.

Giovanni Dos Santos(Tottenham)- Gio did not see any actions in the Spurs’ 2-1 win over Liverpool.

Nery Castillo(Manchester City)- Nery is still MIA from the Man City first team as they went down 2-0 against Bolton.

Germany

Pavel Pardo(Stuttgart)- Pardo played 61 mins against FC Koln as the team lost 3-1.

Ricardo Osorio(Stuttgart)- Did not play this week.

Aaron Galindo(Eintracht Frankfurt)-Galindo played all 90 mins in Frankfurt’s 2-1 win over Monchengladbach.

Netherlands

Carlos Salcido(PSV)-Salcido did not play this weekend but was saved to play against Marseille in the CL.

Maza Rodriguez(PSV)- His situation was the same as Salcido’s.

Hector Moreno(AZ Alkaamar)-Moreno played all 90 mins in the game against Heereveen and received a yellow during the 63rd min. AZ Alkaamar now stand at the top of the table.

Turkey

Antonio De Nigris(Anaranksapor)-De Nigris is finding himself back onto the team and played 46 mins.
